Besides, isn't the phrase "mainstream hipsters" an oxymoron?

... at the very least, it's confusing...
It has, oddly enough, become mainstream to be a hipster. In a way, we are hipsters for not being hipsters.

It's become hipster to even talk about hipsters. . . fuck.

Anyway, the nostalgia market for a particular decade seems to hit when people who were young in that decade reach the point in their lives where they have more disposable income. For the 90s, that's. . . about now.

What does hipster mean? Everyone I know that uses the term seems to have a different definition for the word. Always confused when I am called a hipster. :P

Seems like most people use it as a derogatory term much like "faggot", "nigger", etc. I guess calling people "hipster" makes some people feel better about themself. *shrug*

I'll completely embrace it. I loved seeing the resurgance of 80s stuff from my childhood. Now I'll enjoy reliving my pre-teen and teen years of the 90s.

I believe they are both running on ToonNick (I'm sure that R&S is, not 100% sure about RML), but they are being run at something like 12:00 A.M. to 2:00 AM. Not exactly a convenient time slot.

I have to pay something like $40 more for the Premium Cable package to get that channel. So I won't be watching it. I was hoping for the regular Nickelodeon network airing it.

It's an imaginary stereotype compounding various undesirable traits. I don't think hipsters as they're often described actually exist.

Of course it's meaningless and derogatory. It's just a silly insult that gets thrown at anybody who happens to either dislike something that's popular or likes something that's not too well known. Same thing with calling anybody with even a casual interest in anything that happens to be japanese a "weeaboo" or calling everyone with a nerdy interest "autistic".

I love the 90s. Japan produced their best cars in the 90s. The sad thing is that the new generation are into the "hellaflush" fad and they are destroying these classics.
