Well Psp is not yet dead because persona2 is coming out very soon. I know my gamestop doesn't have much games left for ps2. Gamecube and xbox gave up too fast. I just got me psp2000 and i like it considering i missed out on some good games. Ps3 is going to get some high rez psp games on the system. If there were no psp then most of games would have been on ps2 or ps3 psn. Nintendo could not display DS or 3 DS games onto your big tv, while sony psp got it right to add it. Psp has less shovelware while nintendo more shovelware... The price is right wii game.... Sigh

Imagine if sega and nintendo started to make games on their consoles and the consumers got the games in cartridge. Why should we have to buy new consoles. Im going to force my niece to play super mario bros 1-3, ninja turtles, contra, street fighter2 , and sonic, street of rage2. She doesn't have to beat the game just play them for fun.

I think the big difference is that those two consoles were also wildly successful, while the psp... wasn't so much.
I think it's so weird that the SNES can sell just about 50 million units and be considered a legend. On the other hand, the PSP can sell about 70 million units and be called a minor flop. Not to be trite, but it's a glaring example of how fast and far our industry has come along, where 70 million sales don't guarantee success. Such is the post PS/2/Wii/DS era.

The Original GameBoy sold 135million units as the portable market always sells more since everyone needs their own dedicated unit to use as a controller and screen. Instead a home system with a large easily shared TV screen and multiple controller ports is easy to share amongst an entire family and only requires at least one additional controller for multiplayer.

The easiest way to look at it is watching a young pair of siblings with only one DS or PSP in the house. Fights break out, hissy fits are had, etc... etc...

My one wish is for the PSP to make a comeback and bring back more japan imports to just translate the dialogue and bring them out and put them on the PlayStation store so they don't have to spend all that money and labor distributing them on UMDs and stores nation wide.

( I still cry every day that Romance of the Three Kingdoms X was never imported to the PSP :P )

Yeah I suppose... think 135 million divided by 2, 67.5 million 2-player set-ups.

My argument would be, the SNES is legendary because if has way more quality games than the GB.
I'm sure some would disagree but I can think of dozens upon dozens of SNES games that are still fun and quality to this day. Almost all the GB games that I've revisited don't hold up as well, much like a lot of NES games too, but regardless I do have many GB games I still like; just no where near the amount of SNES games.
 (FC, AVFC, NES, SFC x2, SNES, N64, GC x2, Wii x2)*(G&W x7, GB, GBpocket, GBASP, DS-L x2)
(GEN, SS x3, DC x3)*(PCE-Duo)*(Xbox:500GB)*(NGCDZ, NGPC)*(PS1, PStwo, PS3:160GB, PSP.3K)

I really hope the PS Vita fails miserably. The battery cannot be replaced. That is fucking bullshit. We need to send a message to Sony that we aren't gonna tolerate that shit.

If you want to sell us a portable device, it really should be portable. >_>

What? Do you mean not user-replaceable because 100% non-replaceable sounds like BS.

Don't worry, several great games are coming out for 3ds and with the price drop, it should be picking up momentum and have a strong base by Vita is released.
