a few days ago I found MVS carts for $10 each and never held one in my hands before. Reason I didn't get any... because I don't have mvs arcade cabinet, jamma board, or even neo geo. If they had metal slug I probably would have bought it for that cheap. They were dirty and left in the hot sun light. I don't know if the games worked or not. I also don't like boot leg carts because they are cheap knock offs. I wish they AES because that would have been an instant buy for me. It was cool holding one. Instead I bought Kirby 64 for $5 at the flea market.

Also when i was at the flea market a asian guy and girl were following and hunting for retro games, everytime i tried to look at the games they were close by. It got stranger because i somewhat speed walk 5 to 6 aisles and i thought i got away from them, but no right behind which i find it disturbing. Eventually they left. But every video game section i went to they were there next me. I did not know them or be friends with them. I found secret of mana snes cart $20 but i prefer to save my money. They were mostly looking at n64 and nes. This Type of stalking has never happened to me before.

Old news by a few days but still good nonetheless:

:D I quit GameStop. I hated that company more than I've hated anything else in my life and haven't been happier in that building than I was when I quit.

:( I need a job, yesterday......
My Consoles:

Why would you quit without another job lined up?

1) GameStop sucked, sucked, sucked. There was a recent management shakeup in July that left the company full of cuthroats and megalomaniacal style higher-ups. They did a low level restructuring and axed a LOT of stores (about 5-10) per district and cleaned house with employees. Anyone not managing to get insane numbers of pre-orders (get one for every other transaction, or else) was getting the squeeze or axed, regardless of how their performance was otherwise.

In other words, even though I was doing my job fine and my numbers were above average (25% plus of all my transactions had new pre-orders, and about 15% of them had new card/magazine bundles) according to my new boss I wasn't doing well enough for his liking.

Also, the manager hasn't been with the company more than a few months and is both fearful for his job at times and doesn't know how to do most of it otherwise (went from managing a blockbuster (AKA partying) to a lower level position at GS and then to full store manager). Therefore he came down on us lower level employees to see if we could take up the slack from his constant mistakes and incessant idiocy. But, when someone is loosing 20 or so pre-orders a week because of how mediocre their store performance is and with how they piss off customers no amount of effort can save them.

I got sick of taking up the slack and doing all the manager's work so that the store wouldn't fall apart. I wasn't getting paid well, the hours were nightmarish and it wasn't my responsibility to do his job for him so he could slack off. You would come in to work for the night shift and none of the morning deliveries would have been processed, the trades from the day wouldn't have been even attempted to be filed away, no paperwork would be filled out, he wouldn't have gone to the bank for change, etc...

As a result everyone else quit and I was left the last member of the original staff at my store. There were only four of us after that (AKA all the manager, asst-manager, 3rd key and me) so I got lots of hours for about two weeks before they hired a new guy. In turn my hours fell to 8 a week while the new guy got 25. Therefore I finally got to my breaking point and left the company.

I had been with gamestop for over three years and believe me, they are a toxic and disgusting environment.

2) Engaged doesn't mean I"m going to get married immediately, it's barely been a week since I gave her the ring and we're both in college at the moment (well I'm starting in spring as I'm finishing up my GED) so money is tight.

I'll find something soon, in the meantime I've cut down on all my spending and simply filled my tank with gas so I can hunt for a new job. I just got my last paycheck Friday and it was a bigger one than usual given how much time I'd worked lately before the new guy came in so it's being squirreled away.

1) You've been working for three years and you just realized your job is to take up your boss's slack? Dude. That's pretty much the definition of work. Get used to it for the rest of your life.

2) Trust me, I know being engaged doesn't mean getting married immediately; that is why it is called an "engagement". It's just that I remember you stating something close to that you could barely afford the ring, and now you're out of a job. I'm just looking into your best interests. How much time will you two have to find a job while going to community college? How can you afford rent and a wedding without jobs?

Not trying to be a jerk or your Parents, just wondering what you have planned for a situation that doesn't sound like it will play out fondly.

I quit my first job at the movie theater for similar reasons actually.

You'll be okay as long as you have someone who doesn't mind you falling back on them for a bit and can land another job REALLY quick. The latter is often easier said than done though, especially right now.

Just for future reference, don't quit your job until you have another one lined up, no matter how shitty it is.

Too cheap to buy an xbox 360, shh PS3 is not good enough for guys. If xbox 360 was cheap you would still have to pay for the online service.
