Amazing Metroid fan-game on the horizon.

I haven't seen a clip that made my jaw drop in ages. This one did it.

I just wish these guys would release the game and trailers simultaneously. I'd hate to have another Chrono Resurrection on our hands.

Exactly. It makes no sense to do otherwise. Place your bets now.

If Nintendo had ANY fucking sense, they'd throw $50k at these guys for the game and source code, and port it to WiiWare as a downloadable game, and rake in 10x what they paid. But no, instead they'll surely just send a cease & desist, because nothing pisses off a developer more than when the fans give the fans what they've always wanted. It's like if a whipped boyfriend suddenly grew his own vagina.

It's probably an unreasonable expectation, but it would be nice if a game like this was passed along quietly throughout the gaming community. Now the hype is out and attention is being drawn to it, so it's just a matter of time before Nintendo steps in. Hopefully it'll be released by then, and we can hunt it down on a torrent site somewhere.

I also thought Chad Concelmo might have had more sense than to post an article putting it in the spotlight.

That looks amazing! Except the part about your pants, I was pretty much only impressed by the Metroid footage. Is it going to be just a PC release or do think it will be possible to emulate on Dreamcast?

I imagine it will be for Windows, and not much else. Not sure though. SuperNES definitely cant run this. That should be obvious.

Windows is fine by me. It'll probably be the only way to play a Metroid game in high-definition without waiting another decade lol.

Oh my ... Holy fucking wow. That is just beyond incredible. 2D Metroid is one of my favorite franchises.

Dear God I hope it comes out on some platform, doesn't matter which. I agree with Mozgus - N should recognize a good thing and throw some money at this guy. I really don't think they will though because they are so protective of their own. Really, how many times has it really happened in gaming history? Ms. Pac-Man is the only one I can think of.

Sweet!
And I agree they shouldn't release the trailers until the game is ready. In most cases, you're begging to be taken down by Nintendo.

I also agree that Nintendo should hire them, but I don't know if they are that smart.
