Necroposting this thread just to say I FINALLY BEAT THIS GAME.

I didn't realize how long of a break I had taken on it, but it's finally done. No warps either. Thanks for getting me to play such an awesome game all the way through.

Congrats - I havent beaten Battletoads since the early 90s, back when my little brother and I played it hours on end. But I just got a copy of it this morning from a coworker, and my little brother will be in town this weekend...

I hate this game for the classic reason: it's a great game till you go the @#$%^&* racing stage where even if you are most patient person in the world you will go berserk due to the unreasonable difficulty of this stage which it made it so famous and made a lot of people wonder if there is one person in this universe which can finish it (until I read some posts here where I saw that there are actually some people who finish it :o ).

The sure thing is that I'm going to give this game for SNES as a present to a friend of mine which is a retro games collector. I want to see his reaction when he'll get this present.

I just bought that off Ebay 2 days ago so I'm waiting for it to come on home, I want to play the Battletoads/Double Dragon version of it. I don't think I've ever played that one but yeah that's such a fantastic game and one of my favorites!

This is a beautiful game, however, the Super Nintendo graphically updated version is garbage. The music, especially on the hovercraft stage are not memorable and it feels more stiff.

That's SUPER BATTLETOADS, right?

The Genesis has a regular BATTLETOADS that is graphically updated.

Arcade Battletoads is the best. It's the easiest game, but the bloodiest too. Not even kidding, it's so over the top and badass. Razor blade kicks, hammer curve stomps, lmao. Pretty insane compared to the console versions.

The arcade one is Super Battletoads. I wouldn't call it the easiest. Battletoads in Battlemaniacs on the SNES is the easiest, unless one considers the arcade game easy just because you can keep popping in quarters

In terms of balance(as in not ruthlessly kicking your ass), I think the SNES game is the best. Overall though, Super Battletoads the arcade game is probably the coolest Battletoads game ever made
