White Egg vs Brown Egg - Which is the Superior Egg?

Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

That show was very, very disturbing. Loved every second of it though. Haven't seen it in years.

Also, brown eggs come from Rhode Island hens.

Fresh eggs
My sister used to raise chickens. Best egg ever, a fresh egg still warm from the chicken's butt fried on the griddle. For lack of a better description a very strong egg taste in the yolk compared to the store bought ones. A mix of white and off brown shelled eggs. Yum!

There's an episode of QI (series 4, episode 7) that talks about eggs and their colors:
Stephen
Strange bi-ways we go down, don't we.

Now tell me, then, what is the difference between brown eggs and white eggs?

Julian
Only the colour; there is no other difference.

Stephen
"Only the colour; there is no difference" is the right answer, and you get full points, indeed.

I'm pretty certain I've known that for years and yet--I don't know if you're the same--I . . . I still find myself drawn to brown eggs. I still think they're going to taste better.

Alan
I think that there were more white eggs when I was younger--

Stephen
Mm.

Alan
--and now there are more brown ones?

Julian
I prefer them.

Stephen
Yes, because people prefer them, people think they're somehow more natural. And it's not true at all.

Alan
Does one hen go either way?

Stephen
No. It's down to the colour of the earlobes, really.

[Viewscreens: Two pictures of a hen with large white earlobes.]

Stephen
If you've got white feathers and . . . [at viewscreens] That's a good white earlobe, that. That'll be a white egg. But if you have the old red lobes and the . . . and usually, brown feathers, then it'll be a brown egg. That seems to be the only thing, but no one has ever been able to tell a taste difference.

I think they're both eggcelent. I usually just get white ones (it has nothing to do with eggcism) they're just the most common. I'd like to try turquoise eggs, they sound pretty eggxotic, but you'd probably have to shell out a lot of money to get them. I heard there used to be a type of goose that actually laid golden eggs, but they all got poached. But enough talk about eggs. This is a gaming forum. Let's get back to talking about things like Fantastic Dizzy, Billy Hatcher, how to beat the final level in Sonic 2, and nerdy movies like Ghost in the Shell.

Brown eggs straight from the hen. You can really taste the difference when you compare it to a store bought brown egg, or any white egg. It seems this is some kind of metaphor for other things, and if that is the case, disregard this post.

conclusion: doesn't matter of the color, but cage-free chickens & ones that eat better nutrition lay better eggs than chicken mills.
Isn't this a retro video game site? I mean, if you are going to do multiple topics on nutrition... there are plenty of forums for that where the members know a lot of than the average member here does.

That being said, I recommend you buy organic free-range eggs. Then you can eat them raw without worry. :)
