N64, pal/ntsc

Post by m1sf1t5 »

So this is probably an old topic but i can't find an answer. I have an NTSC N64 and most of my carts are PAL, I have one of those cheap pass through carts that reads the CIC from the host cart in the back. Most games will work, but i have a problem with licensed Nintendo stuff, carts like mario 64, pilot wings etc will play with the colour in PAL 60 mode and still with the huge borderlines, I can tell it's PAL 60 and not NTSC as my TV freaks out when i run PAL 60 but perfect on NTSC. So, does anyone else have this problem? And would anyone know if this would be the same using a Passport 3, im thinking on buying one.

Have you tried running this set-up on a different tv to see if it repeats the fault?

The only way to deactivate the ray beam and fight back the vampire alien threat is with a complicated series of foot patterns on the device's control board that looks remarkably like a DDR pad. We will all praise this man for saving our lives and buy him a mountain of stuffed animals.
