Yeah, it just makes no sense.

Honestly, when i finnaly got to watch season one and two uncut it was like watching a totaly different show.

Except for the whole cousins bit, season 3 was less botched, but still it was one of the remnants of what I call "the bad old days".

Thats why when people whine about bad dubs now i just laugh.

If you think Bleach has a bad dub because Ichigo doesn't sound manly enough, be glad Yuroichi doesn't talk in jive, cause if that show had come out in 93 she might have.

Ha! The girls in Sailor Moon were still talking like valley girls in 2001! I suppose they were trying to be consistent with the DiC dubbing, but consistency be damed! Season 3 may have been less botched plot-wise, but it still sounded awful! That and they kept coming up with random attack names and couldn't decide what they wanted to call their 'savior' or enemy till half way through the season. For a while there, I wasn't sure who the hell they were talking about half the time. Sure, I had an idea, but there was always an air of mystery around it. Shouldn't stuff like that be decided pre-production? Luckily they cleaned up their act by season 4. Too bad it wasn't all that entertaining. And as much as I'd like to have seen it then, I sort of cringe to wonder what they would have done to season 5 had they gotten their hands on it. One can only imagine how they would have handled the Starlights gender changing

And you're right, compared to the 90's, most of today's dubs are gold

Vampire Hunter D - It was fun and fast paced, I liked it.

Disgusting because of the over-usage of fan service, it's a series about zombies, not about the girl's panties and jiggly breasts. In one scene a girl starts shooting some zombies, we don't see the zombies getting killed but instead we see what's under her skirt. It's retarded and creepy.
