The Wrestling Thread
Re: The Wrestling Thread
Cena's just sticking to character and, unfortunately, any true face wrestler is bound to attract the haters, as anyone with integrity tends to do. He gives Punk credit because he respects him; they may not like each other but there's respect coming from Cena's part.
As for Del Rio, he cashed in just after Punk got Jackknifed. Granted that's what Money In The Bank is, he chose the most opportune (and easiest) moment to seize his championship. That doesn't sit well with Cena's creed. Then, after legitimately defeating Mysterio, Del Rio continues attacking his downed opponent. Cena's cool with Mysterio, hates Del Rio... I fail to see how you could expect it to go down any other way, honestly.

Something I stumbled upon when I realized SummerSlam just passed by. And no, this is not news; as far back as I can remember, those checks Dixie writes may as well be signed off by Paul Heyman.BurningDoom wrote:I hate Vince Russo for what he did to my beloved WCW. But he actually isn't the problem at TNA. He's been a part of TNA for many years. Things didn't start to go sour until Bischoff, Hogan, and Flair showed up.
My scheduling skills have died of dysentery; I hope to visit at least on a monthly basis.
Still, don't forget to tip your waitress.

I read about that a couple days ago. Sucks for him. But if makes you wonder that if they can't pay Jimmy Wang's check, how in the hell are they gonna pay guys like Kurt Angle and Sting?pakopako wrote:Something I stumbled upon when I realized SummerSlam just passed by. It's just another thing that begs the question - "Why the hell is TNA still in business??"BurningDoom wrote: I read about that a couple days ago. Sucks for him. But if makes you wonder that if they can't pay Jimmy Wang's check, how in the hell are they gonna pay guys like Kurt Angle and Sting?
Look, I'm just as much a fan of the good ol' WCW Nitro days as anybody, (not to mention a fan of legends like Hogan, Sting, etc.,) but TNA is not, and never WILL BE, the second coming of WCW - as much as Dixie and JJ want it to be...

Re: The Wrestling Thread
Anybody hate what they are doing with Sin Cara? Jesus, it's so obvious it's not the same guy. Nothing against the guy, but he doesn't do any of Sin Cara's mannerisms, none of his moves and he isn't even the right build. It just irritates me. Christ how dumb does the WWE think their audience is? It doesn't help that the announcers point out all of the obvious clues that he's not Mistico
Did Daniel Bryan job three times in a row? With two tap outs to Del Rio? Isn't he supposed to be the submission specialist? I really wish Del Rio would use some other kind of finishing move. Submission victories make your opponent look VERY weak.
So we're getting a Nash versus Punk feud. I'm not sure how I feel about that. I think that the text message from Punk's sister pretty much sums up what Nash brings to the table. Can this guy really still wrestle?
I know this may sound crazy, but I honestly don't think any heel in the WWE right now is getting built up better than Mark Henry. They are booking and writing him perfectly

I really like R-Truth as a heel. He definetly plays crazy a helluva lot better than Sting does. What do you think about him?Gamerforlife wrote: I know this may sound crazy, but I honestly don't think any heel in the WWE right now is getting built up better than Mark Henry.
