Re: What are you playing?
I've been playing a bit of Street Fighter EX 3 (PS2). It's odd, the SF3 series gets flack for not being "enough of a Street Fighter game" and this is essentially just that. I swear, it's like Arika flogged a run-of-the-mill fighter to Capcom and in turn, they attached some Street Fighter characters in order to get it out the door. It's not fast enough to play like a Street Fighter game, really. Pretty average, through and through.
Oh, and I've been playing the hell out of my copy of Darkstalkers/Vampire Chronicle on the Dreamcast, which is so many, many shades of awesome I've taken to clapping whenever I
finish it. Hype.

How is it? I have yet to receive my copy.
it's weird and interesting. At least worth $6. There's a LOT of cut-scenes and story. I guess because of the anime connection. They're not bad, though. The game play is mostly 3D beat-em-up territory. Lots of swarms of ninjas that all look the same. In a sense, it feels a lot more like a budget title than a licensed game. I mean, the actual gameplay isn't super far from something mindless like Onechanbara. But of course, Onechanbara is fun. So that's not an insult either. It also has some interesting touches, that make the combat actually incorporate rhythm game aspects. Mid-battle the game might Matrix-slow-mo with the enemy's sword coming at you and a random combinatin of buttons flashes on the screen. If you hit the combo quick enough you'll counter-attack. If not, you'll take a hit. That's certainly interesting anyway. Mid-battle QTE's? The music's good. The plot's weird (a near topless witch made me eat a snake!).
TL;DR? = a near topless witch made me eat a snake!

Fallout
So far the time limit thing is freaking me out. So far I've gone to vault 15, killed the scorpions and rescued that girl from the raiders by trading, I have 115 days left. Fun stuff. But I'm freaking out that no clue on the water chip. I don't like to be limited like that by time.

I can tell you where it is. I'll put it in white text in case you don't want to know: it's somewhere in the Necropolis.
The time limit shouldn't be a problem as long as you don't waste time, they give you plenty.

Indeed, don't worry about the time limit at all.

Well, I quit Dungeon Fighter Online a few days ago. While it is indeed a VERY cool and fun game, there was just too much bullshit. I got to the point where I couldn't put up with it anymore. Overall it was an enjoyable few years, but I am glad to finally stop.
Part of the reason I quit DFO was for Phantasy Star Online 2, which is set to come out this year. I've been watching some secret footage from the current alpha test, and I can see real potential for this to become my new favorite game. It looks so amazing and super fun. I cannot fucking wait to get my hands on it, and play it myself.
In the meantime, I've been playing all three of the Ouendan games, on the DS. I am just about to unlock the insane difficulty for both Japanese games. I got the American game because it's unique and it was only $7 fucking dollars after shipping, but the music is not that great. I may play more of that one after I beat the Japanese games. I really love the Ouendan series. So much fun. I had no idea these games were gonna be this fun or I would have played them a lot sooner.

Comix Zone on the Genesis. I always forget about it then when I go to play it I'm still amazed by the work put into the sound and art. It seriously has some of the best sound you can get on a Genesis without a Sega CD. The voice samples are crisp and the music is just rad.
Oh, and it happens to be a lot of fun too.

BUT IS IT BEATABLE?
Seriously don't think I've ever managed to beat that one. Gotta love that one life.
