it's weird that none of the reviews I've read of the PS3 version mention any visual glitches, etc.

I haven't played the original yet, but what I played of the demo was fine.

I was using the standard dualshock 3, so no problems there. I didn't run into any screen tearing, let alone the terrible screen tearing you guys are talking about. Maybe I just missed it, but it looked fine and the frame rate ran fine the whole demo through.

Hmm. Maybe it's a problem with Move? I'll be using a Dual Shock myself.

Maybe. Maybe the motion tracking is what's causing the screen tearing. It plays just fine with a dualshock though. It's not gonna feel like a beam katana, but it's gonna feel pretty solid.

When I started playing No More Heroes 2, I originally started playing with the Classic Controller but didn't find as fun so I switched back to the original control scheme.

Could the tearing be related to the resolution it is being run at? IE interlaced versus progressive or running at higher res? Since the Wii is only 480P max but PS3 could be up to 1080P, maybe that's it. Can someone try it on different screen settings and see how it does?

The Move is not causing the tearing. The person I watched playing the demo does not have a Move and was using the DualShock 3.

I saw it tearing relentlessly on 720p. I'm not sure about lower resolutions, but if you have to do that, you might as well just play it on the Wii. :?

I'm just curious. Of course someone might not have both consoles.

so yeah, the screen tearing is for realsies. I mean, it's not game-breaking for me or anything. But it's not like the gameplay segments look improved over a Wii game. At any rate, it's not game-breaking for me. Since I had never had a chance to play the Wii games, I'm quite loving the PS3 version. I've killed the first assassin and off to the second. Truthfully, it's hard for me to not like a Suda game. I've spent plenty of time playing Samurai Champloo Sidetracked, which was just a step above a budget title really just because there's the wonderful Suda weirdness throughout. I'm also enjoying playing this with a DualShock, as there's quite a lot you need to learn to get the various moves right. It definitely keeps things interesting. But the story, art, etc... this is TOTALLY my kind of game. (I really want Travis' shirt)
