psp custom firmware problems

so i decided to put custom firmware on my psp-1001 so i could play emulators mostly to play the mother 3 translation everything went well now im running custom firmware 5.00 M33-6 but when i try to play my physical UMD games it says i have to update to 6.20 or later and when i try to play my psn downloaded games i get an error that game could not be started error Ca000005 i know i could just download the psp games for free but i dont really like pirating and ripping umd games takes a while and is a big hassle i wouldnt of installed custom firmware if i would of known i would no longer be able to play my umd games and my psn downloaded ps1 games. any help would be appreciated

some UMD's require certain firmware to play. That's just how it goes.

gah i guess im gonna have to buy a second psp to play my legit games. can the psp-go be hacked to play emulators cuz if i cant play umd games might as well get that

Just update to 6.20 PRO, its a permanent CFW.

^ I just googled real fast, there's 6.20 and 6.35... what's the difference?

6.20 is permanent, anything after it is temporary (You need to run the app after you turn off your PSP).

so i looked up this 6.20 PRO and there are like hundreds of versions which one do i pick lol

Only on a cold boot. You don't need to redo it every time you put the device to sleep.
