I'm downloading the pal version of Xenoblade, I'll be able to play it in english tonight on a softmodded Wii! This is what they get for not bringing it to North America. I'll buy it whenever it gets here.

Lemme know if it works on a US Wii even though it's PAL (Pikmin 2 PAL only works only if you you have a progressive TV... I hope it's not the same for Xeno).darthmunky wrote:I'm downloading the pal version of Xenoblade, I'll be able to play it in english tonight on a softmodded Wii! I got it working! I play it from an external HDD, in the program I use to launch it, all I had to do was go into the load options and set this game to "Force NTSC".

Nice. I knew we'd have to force NTSC as it's a PAL game but it didn't work in Pikmin 2 PAL so I was a little nervous about it.darthmunky wrote:I got it working! BTW, do you use CFG? USBLGX?

In USBLGX I had to also specify IOS 249 to get it to work. Those English accents are irritating, thank god they let you specify language with english subtitles.

I kind of like the accents. That said I'll take the Japanese audio over it. I downloaded an ISO myself and tried out Dolphin, but yeah. Either way I'll hold onto this ISO and maybe use it when I get a modded Wii. How would you burn these games anyways, are they dual layered DVD's? Since I noticed it comes to about 8gb.

Yeah I like British accents better than US English (or the likely US dubbing).Xeogred wrote:I kind of like the accents. That said I'll take the Japanese audio over it. But yes, there are certainly dual-layer DVDs but most people do USB HDD loading since burned games don't load as fast as a retail game and HDD loading is faster than a retail game. I've ripped all my Wii games to my HDD and it's just splendid

I don't know much about Wii modding and all, but with homebrew and all setup how does that work? Can you literally just hook up an external via USB and access the ISO's through the Wii like that? That'd be hilariously awesome if that's the case, I'd probably stick to that too then.D.D.D. wrote:Yeah I like British accents better than US English (or the likely US dubbing).Xeogred wrote:I kind of like the accents.
