stage collapses at the indiana state fair

Post by aaron »

so, this happened tonight at the Sugarland concert at the state fair. it's pretty insane and relatively graphic. i guess 4 have been confirmed dead and around 40 or so injured, some critically.

really, really sad.

Wow.

That's just plain awful.

Its crazy to see, but if you watch closely, there's a guy in a white shirt around the bottom right where the stage hits, and he just barely dodges out of the way at the last moment.

I bet his heart is still racing.

I just watched it again to see what you mentioned and behind the dude with the white shirt, at least 3 people got crushed...

Oh my god. I was already listening to a different video in the background, so I decided to mute this one while watching. The video I had playing in the background was a Let's Play of Dead Space 2 and the whole time I'm watching the stage come down there's the sound of Necromorph's screaming. And to make it even worse right as the stage finally hit's the ground the person playing stomped a Necromorph and made a squishy bonecrushing sound. Congratulations EA, your game crept me the hell out while I wasn't even playing.

Almost the exact same thing happened a little while ago in Ottawa. Cheap Trick was playing an outdoor concert and the stage collapsed.

There is an annual outdoor concert in Canada called Rock On The Range and it got moved indoors this year because of the incident.

Nah I didn't think you were. Just happen to notice that when I watched it a second time on 1080P zoomed-in. Just sad. Of all the ways to die, I cannot imagine that being crushed to death is one of the less pleasant ways.
Seriously, why the hell didn't the organizers at the state fair say to get the frack outta there sooner?
