I just watched The Girl Who Waited episode of Doctor Who. Damn, that was some powerful stuff! I'd rank this one right up there with The Doctor's Wife as one of the best of the Matt Smith and Moffat era. Very emotional and memorable story. I'm gonna avoid any major spoilers for any who haven't seen it, but here's some thoughts

I have to say, I found the Doctor a little creepy in this episode. We really see his ability to destroy people's lives in this episode and he reacts a bit too casually to it. It really reminded me of the darkness that exists in his character. Someone once told me that this version of the doctor is scarier than the last one because of how casually he uses his power and how little any consequences of his actions seem to phase him. I think I really saw that here. Also, with this episode it seems the series is continuing to create parallels between Rory and the Doctor as he is forced to make a very Doctor Who-ish decision. He's grown the most in this series and he's had to deal with a lot of difficult stuff. I'd hate to be him

I think this episode really spoke volumes about our three main characters. I haven't even mentioned how big a role Amy plays in it, which is obvious from the title
