What was the last movie you've seen?

Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

No... a Batman movie set in Depression-era Gotham City, akin to early Batman stories. Batman TAS is set more or less in modern-day Gotham City, albeit with an Interbellum aesthetic.

We are talking the original Batman: TAS, right? The one that aired on FOX. When WB took over the cartoon, the art direction changed a bit.

Batman TAS is VERY Golden-Age influenced. The influences in the art is very apparant. The buildings and cars in the cartoon are mostly from that era. The organized crime that he fights (when not fighting super-villains) is definetly fashioned after the depression-era mobsters. And he fights pretty much the classic line-up of villains.

It's almost like a mixture of the Golden Age and the modern. Because his costume, computer, and gadgets are all definetly modern.
The cartoon was always produced by WB. It was just played on fox at first since The WB didn't exist yet. There were some art direction changes from when it became Batman the new adventures though.

Conan is freaking awesome, always has been. There's a reason he's stuck around since his creation in the 1930s. He's a timeless character.
