I didn't LOVE the Slaughterhouse album. But I liked it. And I actually thought "The One" was one of the best singles of 2009.
I remember 2009 revolving around Only Built 4 Cuban Linx pt.2 so that might of played a huge part of me not caring
At the moment I have Random Axe by Random Axe (Sean Price, Guilty Simpson, and Black Milk) playing. Chewbacca feat. Roc Marciano is my favorite and is possible THE best track off the album.

Strangely I never got super into Cuban 2. I love the first one. And I really liked it, but I actually listened to Wu-Massacre way more than Cuban 2.

Raekwon's and Ghostface's Only Built 4 Cuban Linx... is the reason why I started to get into rap music. That is the greatest album of all time to me because of the structure of the album because of song placement, the concepts of mafioso themes and execution of Rza's beats just hit me. So of course Cuban Linx pt.2 was a Must for me and that's why I could only remember 2009 as leading up to that release.
Wu-Massacre was a major let down. My expectations were through the roof but it wasn't even close. I expected what I got from Raekwon and Ghostface gave in Cuban Linx except now with the addition of Method Man to be the album. Instead I just got something that felt lackluster and Def Jam probably only let the project go because of the surprised acclaim of Cuban Linx pt.2.

I heard you on Cuban Linx. That album is brilliant. Brilliant. I mean Rza as producer was unbelievable right down to sequencing it to perfection. For whatever reason I didn't latch on to the second as much.
I was really letdown by Massacre at first too. But strangely, couldn't stop listening. And then realized at the end of the year that I had played it SOOOO much. Really good if you take it for what it is.
