Rarest and Most Valuable Saturn Imports

Post by racketboy »

I know the Saturn's library is import heavy, but of course, it's a bit harder to find specific info for the imports.
We're going to do the Saturn next in the R&V series, so I want to make sure I don't miss any important imports

Here's what I have off of my head with an estimated value:
Psychic Assasin Taromaru: $350
Radiant Silvergun: $200
Hyper Duel: $200
Astra Superstars: $120
Blast Wind: $120

Can anybody think of any others (with approx values)?
Are do you think the prices above are inaccurate?

The price above are pretty accurate, assuming it is complete and in great condition. I have been tracking two of those games, Hyper Duel and Blast Wind. I just don't understand how the price jumped up so high all of a sudden. Last years Hyper Duel was around 120 dollars and Blast Wind was around 60 dollars, complete of course. I was waiting for both to come down a little before I buy them. Somehow, both of them jump up to the current price overnight. I just don't quite understand, especially Blast Wind. I will not pay 200 dollars for a game, no matter how great it is. I did pay 150 (Radiant Silvergun and Panzer Dragoon Saga) but that is my limit. I am just wondering if the price will continue to climb. The current price hasn't changed much since the big jump.

Anyway, Battle Garegga is in the 80-90 dollars range, though not three digits.

Those prices seem pretty good. Thats why I haven't bought any of them yet.

I see all these in the $80-$120 range
-Battle Garrega
-Batsugun (usually around 90)
-Shining Force Premium Disc
-Steam Hearts has gone up too. I saw a buy it now for $199, but thats way over priced.

Here are a few others that go for a little less but valuable...
-Princess Crown has jumped and fallen back. It used to go for around 60, then it went up after the release of Odin Sphere, but then it dropped after the PSP version came out. Now I see it around $70-$80
-Keio Flying Squaron 2 is weird, most people list it for around $80, but then every now and then you see one as low as $40.
-Guardian Force is the same way.
-Dracula X: $70-$80
-Soukyugurentai: original: $60-$80/re-release: $50-$70
-DoDonpachi: $50-$70
-Donpachi: $40-$60
-Sexy Parodius: $50-$70
-Twinkle Star Sprites: $60-$70
there are alot more in this range....

i always thought 'Radiant Silvergun' was the most expensive. Selling at around $499 on most import websites.

Not that I can't afford any of those but at those prices purchasing a next gen console would be more of a justification.

I would spend about $70 the most for an import.

They probably don't sell many copies at $400. They are probably just hoping that someone feels like paying double what you can find it for on eBay (or three to four times as much as you could find it for in a shop in Japan)

Psychic Assasin Taromaru is regarded as the most rare & valuable. RS isn't actually rare at all. It's quite common in Japan. PAT is not as well known, but much harder to find.

Oh yeah? Learned something new today myself then. Where can you even find PAT?

Sengoku Blade $50-$70
Tryrush Deppy ?
Nazoma Incredible Toons ?

I have a hint that the last two are somewhat rare, but right know I can't find them on ebay, so I don't know their average prices.

Occasionally i would walk through a swp-meet...or flee-market and spot raggy old stores that are selling these imports like they are worth nothing. I wonder where they even get these...and why they are in some bargain bin

Shining Force 3 Premium Disc is definitely rare, though I don't know how valuable. There was also a Grandia Digital Museum CD (that I own), but I don't know how rare that was or how valuable it is.
