Very awesome! Where's pics of the new one? Set a controller next to her...

the receivers dont have to be facing the controllers, your logic is flawed!

I plan on getting my kid sister a Genesis for her 6th birthday. Gonna give her the Sonic games, Gunstar Heroes, and Mega Man.

Unless you're getting her Wily Wars, I assume she already has a Nintendo or something?

I don't have proof, but I was pleasantly surprised that my nephew (11 years old) was a huge fan of 2D, which, in his opinion, was more fun than 3D. He informed me of this when we were playing NSMB and Mario Galaxy, so I brought out some older stuff for him. He already knew about Super Mario World from the GBA remake, so I went back and showed him SMB and SMB3, which we played for a little bit, getting through to the end of world 2 before switching to Sonic the Hedgehog 2. He also played my GB for most of the trip: mostly SMB DX and Super Mario Land. Now he wants to come visit me in NY when I have my whole retro setup.

Sorry to post another one so soon - but this was too adorable tonight. I was playing supercade - SFII Hyper Anniversary w/Sevin. I kept losing and my boys were both watching and yelling at me. "Dad, he's easy, just slam him." "Dad, why don't you hadoken, uhhhh DAD, he's killing you, come on!" So finally I let them at him.

Pic 1 - Notice the despair on my son (5yo) as Sevin beats him down. Poor kid.

Pic 2 - My other boy (3yo), absolutely stunned at the end screen, he has lost and it is asking for credits. He doesn't know what hit him.
