Dark Void Review (PS3/X360)

Post by Satoshi_Matrix »

Hey guys, its been a good while since I last put up a review, so I thought I should try for something a little controversial this time.

The game I choose for review was Dark Void, a game my gaming peers seems to have hated, but I enjoyed quite a bit. Agree? Disagree? Fall somewhere in between? Let me hear about it.

Anyway guys, enjoy!

I liked it, but it's definetely a flawed game. Still, I enjoyed it a lot, it was my 2nd. platinum trophy on my PS3 :D .

That's an interesting analysis that I have to agree with. I know not many people like it, but I tired to remain fair in the review.

Dark Void is a flawed game to be sure, but I am still of the opinion that despite it's problems, to manages to succeed often enough for me to be willing to overlook its various problems. The concept, the music, the visuals and aspects of the gameplay all come together to make the experience worthwhile despite the technical problems the game has. If it were just patched like Fallout New Vegas was recently, Dark Void would be an awesome game that I'd recommend to everyone.

As is, it's a great first attempt for Dark Void's young developer Airtight Games and I just hope their next project yields better results. There's definitely enough here to make a great sequel.
