yea, i havent changed my hard drive yet so i dont know much about doing that.

i think it would be easier to swap hard drives, download or rip your dvds on the pc, move the xbox to the pc/router for a day, connect it to the lan and ftp avi files onto it and then put it back with the tv.

the xbox cant handle HD video so most avi files will only look crisp up to 1.5gb. higher than that and the xbox can't decode the bitrate or someshit.

there might be a wireless option but i never looked into it.

other things; region free playing of DVDs and xbox games after the softmod.

if that's the "easier" way then I don't think I'm gonna even bother trying.

can you even turn the xbox on? the ps2, saturn, dc all use a similar cable, maybe even a boombox you have. you should firstly see if the xbox powers on (if the light surrounding the eject button changes color you might have a problem). then take pic of the dvd tray open to see if your rom is the good one or not.

well, lets say you put a 500gb drive in it. you can copy 100 5gb movies or 700 avi files containing a movie each.

ftp isnt hard and doesnt take long.

Haha, something tells me you don't know much about Conker. 8) Here, this is for you: http://www.gametrailers.com/video/video ... tack/51727
Outrun 2 - isn't Outrun 2006 Coast 2 Coast a port of this?
Nope, this game is a proper sequel to the original Outrun. But, Outrun 2006 is on the oXbox, as well.
Psychonauts - isn't this also on PS2?
Well, yeah, if you like load times that rival that of the Neo Geo CD.
Ninja Gaiden - remade for PS3.
Cheaper on the Xbox.
Dreamfall: The Longest Journey - don't know what this is.
Only play this if you are interested in Point & Click Adventure games.

I'm just saying that it's already on a console that I own. And load times don't bother me. I'm the guy enjoying Chrono Trigger PS1 remember?
Ninja Gaiden - remade for PS3.
Cheaper on the Xbox.
but again, already on a system I own. Not a reason to make me get into XB.

why did you even get the xbox if you got all this hate for it?

it was $5. I figured I'd sell or trade it for more than that.

that... doesn't sound smat. I'll power it up when I stumble upon a cheap AC. I'm in no rush.

Well, you can always get yourself a cat-5 cable and hardwire the Xbox to your router/modem if that's an option.

nah. It would be nowhere close to my router (I'm on wifi with the modem in the bedroom). If I can't just pop in a DVD movie in the box, rip it, and be done then I've already lost interest in working on such a project.
