So now that Mac OS X Lion has been released how do other people feel about it? It works fine for me but I know some people are having quite a few issues.
Older. Not wiser.

Hit n' miss. Dropping PPC apps entirely is annoying - not that Apple/Adobe (particularly) really gave a shit about older versions working anyway, but cutting everything out is a bit much. Kinda like when they dropped Classic support - it might have been a long time coming, but it would have been nice to keep. I still had a few PPC apps that worked fine.

Finder seems to take a long time to open on my Macbook at home, after waking from sleep. I think it's caching network drives or something. On the plus side, 10.6 would drop Windows server shares after a while, at least on my home stuff, and it doesn't seem to be doing that. Also, unlike 10.6, my Airport card isn't getting disabled and refusing to reenable - took a couple patches for that to stop happening before.

I actually like the 3-4 finger swipes for Spaces/Mission Control/whatever, but my Macbook is too old to support them. I like it on the Macbook Pro I've tested it on here at work though >_>

Not a huge fan of the new install stuff, but I just burned a DVD of the image anyway - it's exceptionally slow, but it mostly works the same as before doing it that way.
Overall, good, but I'm not putting it on anything that matters yet, like the Mac Pro I'm typing on. I have a Mac on my desk at work so I can easily work with most anything people might bring in the door - cutting out older tools doesn't serve that purpose.

For those who run Win7, do you find it easy to tweak or customize it like XP?
 (FC, AVFC, NES, SFC x2, SNES, N64, GC x2, Wii x2)*(G&W x7, GB, GBpocket, GBASP, DS-L x2)
(GEN, SS x3, DC x3)*(PCE-Duo)*(Xbox:500GB)*(NGCDZ, NGPC)*(PS1, PStwo, PS3:160GB, PSP.3K)

Pretty much. I've had some issues with implementing things like screensavers, but overall, it's pretty simple all around.

Is there a particular aspect that you're concerned with? To be honest, I approached 7 with a mind more to adapt to it than try to make it act like XP/2000/etc. There are quirks, but there always are.

My main thing I'm accustomed to in XP is TweakUI and other little programs like that. And I'm sure the taskbar is still movable. Not really too many concerns but I was just hoping that MS hadn't started to make the OS more rigid than before (i.e. hacker prevention tactics).

Laptop... maybe not (unless you can have an OS drive and regular HDD for data). Desktop... hell yeah. :D I have a 40GB Intel SSD strictly for the OS & progs and wow did it improve boot, hibernate etc times. Well worth it.

It's still plenty tweakable, and customizable without 3rd party applications (unlike, say, OS X).

While there's no TweakUI proper, there is Ultimate Windows Tweaker. There's also the well-publicized "God Mode" to get all the control panels in one folder.

There are things in the OS to try and prevent unauthorized access, but mostly that comes down to almost taking permissions seriously. A lot of the issues people had with Vista (particularly), other than lack of drivers, were due to applications not being written to spec. Lots of Windows apps pretty much relied on running with Administrator access, and when Vista didn't do that by default there were problems. That doesn't mean you can't run things with that level of access, but it's just not a good idea to have it be the norm.

Windows 7, but I use virtual box to run a stripped down Win XP and Ubuntu (for work, since some of my clients require team viewer and tend to check what I'm doing during office hours. The virtual machines have no games installed)
