Re: PS Move and Kinect = Sega 32X
nope. Move and Kinect < Sega 32X
-neither has given us the best arcade ports of this gen, the 32X did in its (short) time
-neither has really interesting exclusives which MUST be played with that hardware. The 32X has several (Kolibri, Chaotix, Motherbase 2000, etc.)
-neither has any shmups or fighters, the 32X had several of each.
-the 32X Star Wars game is legions better than what I've seen from the upcoming Kinect Star Wars game
oh, you mean from a marketing and sales perspective? Well in that case
Move and Kinect > Sega 32X
-Kinect had sold over 10 million units by March 2011. Likely they are approaching 15 million soon. It has added to the install base and been a boost to their bottom line. There are around 40 games for it, with another 30 or so planned.
-Move has sold close to 9 million units. It has helped Sony's bottom line as well, and the amount of games for it are comparable to the Kinect.
-the 32X sold about 650,000 units by Spring 2005, when the Saturn launched. It has less than 40 games.

And everyone uses an Activator.BoringSupreez wrote:Move and Kinect are more akin to an alternate reality in which the Casio Loopy was successful.Anayo wrote:Does my Sega 32X analogy seem reasonable in your opinion?
Although ironically, SegaNET and XBand really did forsee the future.
My scheduling skills have died of dysentery; I hope to visit at least on a monthly basis.
Still, don't forget to tip your waitress.

Re: PS Move and Kinect = Sega 32X
I thought that Kinect sales have been HUGE and really bolstered the xbox360 sales. Am I wrong?
I don't know how popular Move is, but Kinect is definitely not a 32X.....

Re: PS Move and Kinect = Sega 32X
The only Kinect exclusive I have is Kinectimals. Good clean fun. And i find Child of Eden much more enjoyable with Kinect. I have a few fun Move games but nothing that is greatly enhanced by it. Perhaps i should try a FPS with it.
