well one thing I reallyed likeD about Chrono Trigger was that there wasn't a heavy emphasis on grinding. But here I am. 12+ hours into the game, all my characters around level 25, and I'm fairly certain I now need to grind a lot to deafeat Giga Gaia. If you use Crono and Ayla's combo attack, you can kill his two hands in about 2 hits. Once you do that, it gets a bit easier.
Other combo moves might work too.

yeah I'm using Crono, Frog & Ayla. To be honest, I tend to forget I can even do combo's between party members....alienjesus wrote:If you use Crono and Ayla's combo attack, you can kill his two hands in about 2 hits. Once you do that, it gets a bit easier.

Dual and Triple techs help a lot man. Start remembering!
The move AJ is referring to specifically is Falcon Hit. With Frog healing, Falcon Hit will wipe out the hands, and then you can abuse the hell out of Gaia.
Gaia is an intimidating boss and a lot of people get stuck there, but its easier to beat than it seems at first. Good luck!

thanks man, that actually sounds like a good plan. I'll let you know how it goes when I get a chance to sit back down with it.

Yeah that certainly helps. I take it you beat him then? If so, congrats!
You know there's another tough boss coming up fairly soon for you. I'm interested to see how you handle it.

Went camping for a week and have been distracted by Catherine and Professor Layton. Still working on both of those titles, but booted up Chrono Cross again yesterday. Took me a little while to figure out where to go again (but picked up 2 new characters with my aimless wandering). Finally back on track and have the game saved on a pirate ship that is being attacked by ghosts and skeletons.

Re: Snickerd00dle's Summer Game Challenge 2011
I was trying to breed a Gold Chocobo in FFVII for most of yesterday, but for some reason, I cannot breed a female Blue Chocobo if my life depended on it. So, I'll keep trying again today. I've put too much time into this side quest to quit now.
EDIt: I swear, I have been at this for well over an hour, and I have yet to successfully breed a female Blue Chocobo. I don't think I have even been able to breed a female Chocobo yet! But, I have to keep trying, or else all this time and Gil will be wasted!
