Building an Entertainment Cabinet for my Stuff

Although most of my gaming stuff is out in the living room for all the roommates to enjoy, I keep my favorite electronics back in my room. I felt it was about time for me to build a cabinet specifically for these devices. Here are some photos showing the process and the end result.

I wanted to maximize airflow, which is why the back of the cabinet has such a weird design. I also took the liberty of adding holes for cable outs where needed. Although I prefer the look of natural wood, I was using some really crappy plywood that would have been near impossible to get looking good, Hence the paint. Thanks for looking!

It's very satisfying to build something yourself and it looks good. Hope this leads to you doing more cabinets/furniture products down the road.

One of my hobbies is built-ins but I have not gotten to the level of building the cabinets myself but one day I will.

I agree. It's awesome to build it yourself, and that final product looks great! I love working with wood myself, a lot of fun, isn't it? Very satisfying, too.

I love wood working, the process of creating is very relaxing. I find most premade furniture doesn't fit all of my needs, and I find it hard to spend a lot of money on something that is only partially useful. Building my own furniture allows me to maximize my space, keep my stuff in working order, and show it off how I want. Plus it also means your piece is truly unique!
