I had Guinness for the first time last year and at the time I wasn't a fan of it at all. Then I had it for a second time a couple of days ago and I thought it was one of the best beers I've ever had. Strange how that works :?

a lot of people are into pairing cheese and wine. As much as I like wine, I'm far more interested in beers. So my wife and I have started a weekly routine of researching various cheese and beer compliments, and seeing what pairs really work.

This week we paired Dos Eqis with a dill Hrvati. Good stuff. I mean Hrvati rules no matter, but certainly the lager was a good compliment. Pretty basic for a first pairing really, but we'll get more interesting with each week.

The lighter the cheese, the darker the beer I say. Smoked Gouda paired with Guinness is awful. I still prefer wine with cheese and crackers, but I hear e-z cheez on a ritz goes incredible with Milwaukee's Best Light.

And noise, did you mean Havarti?

I'm a Roquefort fiend, but can't me drinking a beer with it. There is something about the carbonation that just clashes with some cheeses. Great. Now I'm starving.

Maybe he was listening to Kid606 – catstep/my kitten/catnip vatstep dsp remix by hrvatski (takes 30 seconds to get going) or was reading about Croats and got confused.

I KNEW you would know why I fuck up havarti. Yes. It's because of Keith Fullerton Whitman. Swarm & Dither is one of my absolute favorite electronic albums of all time.

This is probably the most boring answer in the world, but I've been drinking lots and lots of water recently.

Big breakthrough for me though since most of my water content used to come from juices and diet sodas. One relative even made a joke about this being a topic for "I Shouldn't Be Alive."
