Sturmwind looks awesome but I think Gunlord has more potential. There are already plenty of Shmups on the Dreamcast but based on what I have seen and heard about from Gunlord it looks like a Metroid style shooting/exploration game which I think would be perfect as I don't think the Dreamcast has any such type of game yet.
It's been a while since NG Dev has updated their site regarding this game so I hope it makes it out this year. I can't wait to play it!

Sturmwind, cause Redspot already has my money.

I do not know anything about any of these games but I just have to say this:
I love that a thread about upcoming games for the Dreamcast is a thing that exists. Seriously, that is the kind of thing that makes me smile.

Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?

I'm most excited about that one really hard shoot-em-up coming for Dreamcast. You know, that one with enemy bullets all over 99% the screen and everyone's like "Cool! Another new Dreamcast game!"

OK, I read through most of that thread and got that you have to make a donation to Assembler and he is only making 100 copies. What are my chances of getting one? It seem the thread you link to at Assembler is closed?

No, the 100 copies are for the folks who donated to raise the $700 to get the disc, then it was cracked and made to run on retail Dreamcast's. and they are getting the 100 discs pressed as we speak I believe. Then after they get the disc's, we will get the game released into the wild approximately 1-2 months after all donators received their games first.bryan_65 wrote:OK, I read through most of that thread and got that you have to make a donation to Assembler and he is only making 100 copies. Oh and Sturmwind all the way, but Gunlord is much like Metal Slug, run, jump and shoot game.

That's how I feel about post-2002 DC games. Why doesn't anyone make 3D platformers, RPGs, or FPS game for DC? Why's it always got to be yet another bullet-hell shmup?flamepanther wrote:I'm most excited about that one really hard shoot-em-up coming for Dreamcast.
