psp chickhen r2 purpose?

What is meaning of running psp chickhen r2? I've installed chickhen after 30 tries of getting it to work on 5.03. If used it before what was your purpose or process for using it?

The purpose was allowing some features of custom firmware on unhackable PSP-3000s.

Now that the PSP is blown wide open, there is no use for it any more, nor no reason to stay on 5.03.

The only thing is that when I try to run ChickHEN r4 with a 16 gb (non magicgate) micro sd with duo adapter it never exploits the chickhen only with 1 gb magicgate memory stick.

You don't need chickhen anymore. Update your PSP and use the new stuff -- you can run the HEN straight from the XMB now as if it were a real game.

Thanks for the link, was helpful. At the moment I'm using 5.50 Gen D3, which was installed today. I was thinking of upgrading to CFW 6.39 ME-9, has anyone installed it? I just wanted to play Shadown of Destiny original released on PS2, saw it for cheap at Gamestop, but I noticed there was a psp version re-released. I thought this game was a little gem that hardly anyone knew about. I kinda looks and somewhat plays like Silent Hill. There was even a dog eventhough it didn't bite like in silent hill. After installing 5.50 gen it wouldn't pass the intro instead freeze, but works now.

Its kind of neat to own a psp Now! I'm going to try to play through Shadow of Destiny all way through to see if I like. Konami should make another for PS3. I hear there are multiple endings for this game.

Gees micro sd takes a while to add the goodies from the computer.
