Wow, there's a useful trick. I used undo at the moment the chainsaw baby did one of its attacks and it basically nullified it each time. I beat it without it getting off a single attack throughout the entire stage!

I have now purchased Catherine. It sits proudly... in my backpack. I can't actually play it until I get back from vacation.

Oh well. At least I was lucky enough to get the soundtrack CD and artbook. Though I must say I was a little disappointed that Walmart only had the alternate cover version with the closeup on Catherine's face.

Will be moving on to chapter 8 tonight. I already beat the chapter 7 boss yesteray, but had a power outage. So I have to do that again tonight. Grrrr

I was a bit irritated by the blocks hidden from view in that boss fight. That was cheap and annoying. Why exploit the game's limited camera angle? You should be hiding your game's flaws designers, not focusing on them

Babel mode is such a fucking cockblock to my achievements.

So I've heard, I have no intention of getting one hundred percent on this one. I'll be happy just to beat normal, see the endings and try to save some people as it seems I've let practically everyone die on this playthrough. Babel mode pretty much requires you to have mastered the game mechanics AND get lucky. So screw that. Plus, I absolutely despise survival modes in games, which is basically what Babel mode is

Yeah, I've practically gotten all the other achieves other than the Babel mode ones. Was abou to clear the altar but then messed up and was like screw it.

Well, it wasn't quite as much as the pipe dream of a number I hoped for earlier in this thread, but the first-week sales numbers of Catherine are now official. 200,000 units! What's more interesting is that this makes it the top-selling PS3 game in America this week! Not too shabby for a niche title.

Also, some hacker went snooping around in the Catherine Blu-ray disc, and found some rather interesting things; namely, mouse button icons, indicating the possibility of a PC port!
