Egg yolks - Medical pop Science or Historical Fact ?

Post by AdamGomez1987 »

Here's the story, me and my class were going over creative ideas. So I decided to come up with an idea I thought of when I was like 5 years old which was yolk in a condiment bottle. The idea behind it was that it would be a breakfast condiment for things such as toast, pancakes or more yolk for your eggs if you just happened to overcook your egg.

The teacher heard that and after saying no idea is a bad idea, she flat out told me my idea was so bad and stupid and started criticizing my idea in the worst way imaginable. After being insulted after the class after her explanation of her idea saying how yolks are the worst part of the egg and that it wouldn't be able to sell because America is Weight Conscious...

Anyone have an opinion? I think the idea that yolk is so high in cholesterol that it will stop your heart is a bunch of nonsense and personally believe a bottle of syrup would be more detrimental to your health.

While that is certainly a product I would never buy or eat, the teacher probably shouldn't have publicly humiliated you in class.

As for the product itself, it isn't any less healthy than other crap we cover our food in. However, in my opinion, it just sounds revolting. Some type of bizarre processed and liquefied egg yolk condiment sounds awful and probably wouldn't taste right.

While I think your teacher is wrong for what she said, I can't say I think yolk in a bottle as a condiment is a good idea. Would you be eating it raw?

Now if it was in a carton like milk is it would be great for cooking, they already do that for egg whites. Also would be great for protein shakes.

Now on the health of egg yolks, the opinion has jumped up and down for decades. Just like the idea of good and bad cholestrol has.

And carbs...lol

I was thinking it was already lightly cooked before put in, It's not cooked to the point where it's hard or anything but like having an over easy egg where the yolk is still liquid.

It's just an idea I like sharing as this has been an idea since I was 5 years old lol. I was thinking it was in sort of a condiment bottle, the nozzle would be thicker otherwise the yolk is just gonna ooze out too fast.

Well I thought about the things that are sold for breakfast, such as country gravy, syrup and I look at the cereals that they sell to children such as Cookie Crisp, Reeses Peanut Butter Puffs, and I am guilty of trying the Pop Tart cereal when they came out with one..lol

Seriously, they add so much sugar and bad stuff, that if you ever get a sweet tooth, just use that type of cereal to kill that need instead of actually going out to buy a doughnut.

America created McDonald's. The American stereotype is a fat person. I refuse to believe this country is actually weight conscious.

It also might be the difference between organic and non. Also, they also sell egg whites in cartons so I'm going to assume that the fear of them spoiling too soon wouldn't be a factor unless they sell too slow.
