Best place to purchase Atari Items?

Post by Icedawg »

I'm not just talking about Ebay or Amazon either.. through Atari Age I found the site Best Electronics (am ordering 2 Joypads through them) & also via google I found the website 4Jays which has some pretty good deals on 7800 games (supposedly they have new factory sealed games).

I'll also continue to use Ebay/Amazon & those sites as I continue to build my 7800 library. Was just curious if anyone had feedback on the sites I mentioned or maybe had advice for others?

Thanks

Sounds like you've got it about covered. There's also B & C http://www.myatari.com/ (another hideous-looking website). I've never ordered from them or Best, but they are longtime sellers of all things Atari.

It's not unusual that a place would have sealed Atari games for sale. You just missed by a year or two O'sheas which literally had a limestone cave filled with millions of sealed Atari games. They had a number of titles for $5 each. About ten years ago, I bought around 20 titles from them when they were selling for 80 cents apiece. Sadly, O'sheas sold all their remaining stock for scrap.

Other than that, most of my stuff is original and just about everything else came from eBay.

I know some people just dont have the time and patience, but the venerable fleamarket and thrift store has many atari games.

Sometimes they are mixed in with cassetes and 8 tracks. Or hidden somewhere away toward the back.

There may even be some in an older family members home, or some old shed or garage.

maybe you can ask around?

that'd work if I was specifically looking for 2600 games but right now I'm in a 7800 state of mind. A flea market just minutes from my house always has 2600 games so maybe in the future.

Has anyone here ever used 4Jays? The name sounds so very familiar, like I probably dealt with them on ebay or something. Cool to know about the newly sealed games, I'll have to remember that
