Can a restaurant refuse to serve you free tap water?

Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

Kids were always getting messed up on e and getting at risk of dehydration and assholes wouldn't give them water. Crazy days those were.
And they would shut off the cold water in the sinks so that only piping hot water came out so you can't refill the bottle

When fruit juice is made, the skin obviously is not included in the drink, which takes away some of the nutritional value. That's why juice isn't as good for you as regular fruit. It's still better for you than soda though.

I think you could start at getting back at them by telling us the name of the place and where it's located so why can stay away.
Thanks everyone...

A ton of the nutritional value of fruit is eliminated in juicing. Apple juice is probably the worst offender, but it's only marginally better than coca cola. You're much better off eating real fruit.

If your motivated to do it I'd recommend putting reviews of your experience up on Yelp, google, urbanspoon etc. I've seen multiple poor reviews get retracted because the people were contacted personally by restaurant owners to make it right.

I left a few poor reviews. Next I'll spread the word about how the place blows.

That's right, cater to a bunch of teenagers' illegal activities.

So you're saying they should just help them die? Yeah, that's the morally responsible thing to do. < /sarcasm>

You act like rave promoters did this to help these poor troubled kids avoid drug using decisions. HA! If that was the case, then why were they throwing raves in the first place where they would confiscate drugs at entry, only to turn around and sell them back to the kids later? They turned off the water to make a quick buck, pure and simple. And in the most reprehensible way, by putting a price point on something that is usually free and could have saved lives. The only reason I've ever known someone to die from using e has been because of the resulting dehydration that the drug accelerates. I don't think there's anything morally wrong with throwing a rave. Moreover, I don't even see anything morally wrong with taking or selling e (even if the law is against it). I do think it is morally wrong to withhold a normally free substance from people that need it to survive and stay in good health.

Now I don't believe in this, but the counter argument would be "Um. Kids are unlawfully using an illegal substance which is their own decision at an event based solely around making a profit. If you don't want to die, don't take a drug that can kill you".

I'll never forget that one of the last things my Mother said to me when I was off to college was "Be careful, and if you try ecstasy, be sure you drink lots of water. CNN says you need water if you take it!".

 It's like Chef says on South Park "There's a time and a place for everything. It's called college."
