I'm still one of the few fans of Winamp and overall I'm pretty happy with most of the plugins I've gotten to emulate old console music and all, but I can't say I'm very pleased with whatever I've got for the Genesis for gym files. The music just completely lacks that FM power and just everything sounds off and chunky.
So anyone have any suggestions about some better players or plugins I should look into? I wish I could say which Genesis Winamp plugin I have but I have no idea, my plugins folder is huge lol.
Best Genesis music player/plugin?
Re: Best Genesis music player/plugin?
VGM is the best format for Genesis music as far as I know... I did find them to be much better than GYM files overall.
"in_vgm" is the plugin for it on Winamp.

Tried Flavio's GYM player? You can download it here.

This is excellent! A vast improvement with that other plugin I had and working with gym's... wow. Is there anyway to increase the max volume on Winamp though? Noticed the tracks are kind of quiet.dogman91 wrote:VGM is the best format for Genesis music as far as I know... I did find them to be much better than GYM files overall.

I'll probably mess with the other stuff mentioned too, thanks a lot everyone. The sound I was getting from Winamp/gym's was terrible, lol.
