10 cents or $1 is still more than buying the burger and fries separate. Their drinks aren't even worth 10 cents to me, to be perfectly honest. Soda is shit. Now if it were orange juice, I would gladly pay 10 cents or maybe even $1 for it.

Can a restaurant refuse to serve you free tap water?
Re: Can a restaurant refuse to serve you free tap water?
If you want to talk about expensive drinks at restaurants, orange juice is about the most expensive non-alcoholic drink there is. $2.79 or some shit for an 8oz cup in some cases, $3.59 for 12oz, etc. Often many places serve that from concentrate gag-juice that. Considering it is $5-6/gallon for actual non-from concentrate Tropicana (the only OJ I buy), those prices are highway robbery!Inazuma wrote:10 cents or $1 is still more than buying the burger and fries separate. $1? For all sizes?BoringSupreez wrote:McDonalds charges $1 for all fountain sodas, all sizes. That's a better price for a fountain drink than you'll find anywhere else except a gas station.Inazuma wrote:I absolutely NEVER buy any drink from fast food drive-thru. They seriously charge a few dollars for a soda that's worth about 5 cents. Fucking bullshit. I don't order any combos because of that. It's actually cheaper to order the burger and fries separate.
That doesn't even make any sense.

If you ever had fresh-squeezed OJ, you'll think Tropicana is gag-juice as well. My local farm stand sells fresh squeezed OJ for $7 1/2 gallon and it's a special treat. It's also the only good thing about going to Florida during February school vacation (getting fresh oranges from my parents' or in-laws' trees and making my own juice) versus going down in April.dsheinem wrote:Often many places serve that from concentrate gag-juice that. Since I can't get fresh-squeezed all the time, I'll have to settle for Tropicana and other gag-juices.

I already locked my own mod welcome thread after letting that go bonkers for a day.flex wood wrote: Not that I recall but I want nothing to do with hobies first thread locking.
Or do I
I have a friend that is good about drinking mostly water, and he drinks a lot of it when we're out eating, but he is a good tipper when it is earned. So to echo what some have said, just because someone chooses to drink water instead of overpriced sugar water like most of us (including myself) doesn't necessarily mean they're just being cheap.

Any juice at a restaurant is going to be an unreasonable price. But I suppose enough people buy it to justify the high price.dsheinem wrote:If you want to talk about expensive drinks at restaurants, orange juice is about the most expensive non-alcoholic drink there is. $2.79 or some shit for an 8oz cup in some cases, $3.59 for 12oz, etc. Often many places serve that from concentrate gag-juice that. On a related note, several diners by me have breakfast deals that come with a free orange juice, but they would have a hard time finding you a smaller glass.

Sort of related: Am I the only one that cuts juice with water? With orange juice I'll have it 50/50 juice and water. Then with things like apple juice or cranberry juice I'll have 3/4 juice and 1/4 water.

I do it too. I go 50/50 with every juice I drink. You have to do that, or else it's unhealthy.RyaNtheSlayA wrote:Sort of related: Am I the only one that cuts juice with water? Juice is always unhealthy. It's just a question of how bad it is.Inazuma wrote:I do it too. I go 50/50 with every juice I drink. OK, maybe that's a little extreme. But juice is candy.
