final fight cd wrote:the only thing that kind of pisses me off is that this was a direct sequel to rondo of blood, which was never released in the US.
Rondo of Blood was made available on Wii's virtual Console. It was also remade as a 2.5d game for PSP, with SOTN as an unlockable (which had its script and voice acting redone, and Maria was made playable).
Not exactly timely I admit.
Didn't the PSP remake also have the original as an unlockable?
Yes, though I found Maria's special move damn near impossible to do on the PSP d-pad(2000 model)in the original rondo. In the remake though, it functions perfectly. I never figured that out. It's the same controller input but the game just has trouble reading it in the original version of Rondo but not the remake. Other than that, it's a good port of the original Rondo. Some say it has sound issues, but I never noticed any.

i've played maybe 45 min to an hour of the inverted castle and the difficulty is much much greater. i might have only died 2 or 3 times in the first castle, but i have already doubled that in the inverted castle. this isn't a bad thing either.

I can give you a hint that makes that entire castle MUCH easier, but it kind of breaks the game so I'll leave it up to you if you want to know it or not

I liked pirates, but it took forever to go east... painfully slow.
Jade Empire was great. At first I thought it would be sluggish, but that improves as the game goes on. It definitely could have improved in some areas, such as the map and a clearer explanation of objectives and how dialogue affects the relationship of your party members.

Count me as curious.
If I ever have the patience to take another shot at that game, I'd welcome anything that makes it faster and/or easier.

Are you referring to just using the mist form to skip everything that's hard or some kind of actual trick?
Maybe the up+down super jump thing? I don't see what's so hard about the inverted castle, I've said it before but I think SoTN is without a doubt one of the easiest games I've ever played. Doesn't stop me from loving it though.
