What was the last movie you've seen?

I haven't been to the Center Theater since high school, so I wouldn't be surprised if it was even shut down and closed by now.Other than being segregated, I don't remember much about the place other than getting to third base with Jessica Howarth when I was in the 7th grade.

Might watch GANDHI again tonight.

I watched that movie in an NC theater that is still (not lawfully) segregated. Not kidding. Separate entrances and siting for "black folks".

Actually, that link you posted suggests that the building is no longer used as a movie theater.

I always wonder how places that "unlawfully" segregate to this day and age don't get picketed, shut down, burned down, etc. I'd like to think that their racist policies are part of the reason the theater was finally forced to vacate the building.

Luke, are you sure that they were actively practicing segregation during the time you were there? It sounds the the building was constructed with segregation in mind. Even if they were to stop, it looks like they couldn't avoid the remnants of it without a huge and costly remodeling job

I just got done finishing the rest of this movie and I don't understand why this movie was hidden away and not ever mentioned from Disney ever again. I give this movie a clear 10 out of 10 and thought this movie was excellent in its approach to bring a dark tone. What i thought was very interesting and had very good acting where the Wheelers that stuck out to me as they were acting like a group of wild guards that work for their evil Queen.

It's too bad mainstream movies aren't experimental like this, nowadays all I hear is the same rehashed orchestrated music ( most notable those Batman movies that Christopher Nolan makes, I swear! When I seen that crappy movie Inception I heard that same rehashed music.

(Note: Inception could have been an awesome epic movie, but they had to play it *safe* by getting an annoying closed minded actor such as Leonardo DiCaprio who even admitted he didn't even know what he was doing. And some of the ideas such as adding those military guards because it's a military disciplined mind... yeah..he wanted to play it safe which I thought was a bad idea for someone like me )

A: Unoriginal orchestral music is far more of a problem among video games than it is for movies, at least as far as I've seen. Killzone 2 comes directly to mind.
B: The orchestral music used in Nolan's movies is really, really good IMO. It's not just crappy rehash at all.

I didn't think Inception played it safe too much. The ambiguous ending isn't the norm for Hollywood, and the movie in general was quite unique. It was my favorite movie of 2010.

What video games are you thinking of? I haven't played any main stream video games as of late. Well, the only game I may have beef with on that notion is Dynasty Warriors 7 but to me that music has always been their trademark.

The music was played out, I may have misspoke to say it was bad because it is good, but the problem with me is that it's reptitive. I'll admit there is bias in why I had such high expectations of this movie, especially when I've been spoiled with great animated movies such as Paprika and Little Nemo the Dream Master and in a small sense Nightmare on Elm St. ( not really related but they're all dream movies, but the best comparison to Inception is Paprika )

If I remember correctly, DiCaprio was united with his two children whom he was constantly seeing their back side until the very end of the movie. That was something that critics were complaining about and I have to agree with them on that since you couldn't feel a bond with them with just their backs turned to you.
