Checked it on the Gen 1, 2, 3 and Nomad worked fine on all loaded to the start screen.

So....does anyone have any other suggestions? Still not sure how to open it....I'm thinking I should just take it back and get something else. :/

Can you post a pic of the contacts in the cart?

If the contacts are still dull, maybe Electrical Contact Cleaner sprayed on a QTip?

I try to take a pic with my iPod (only camera I have access to right now) and they come out crappy that close to the cart. :/

I have been cleaning them repeatedly with 91% isopropyl alcohol and a q-tip. Usually it doesn't require much effort to clean these things, and they are pretty shiny now.

Trying to get a firm swipe with the q-tip is hard at this angle (I sometimes break the q-tips) is difficult which is why I wanted to open the card to get a better angle on them - and to see the inside of the cart.

Sorry for gravedigging posts, but I had the same question and this was the top hit on Google.

The cart I had was in pretty crap shape, so I decided to force it open.

Here's the end results: http://imgur.com/a/58Hpd

You will literally break this game open in order to get to the board, and once you get there it's still plastic welded to the back half of the shell. The two pins that come through the board are melted around the board, so there's no way of removing it without breaking those off as well.

Everything's plastic welded/glued together. The holes in the board aren't even straight, they're at different heights on each side, so if you wanted to put the board into a different cart, you'd have to drill new holes for it.

So for anyone else looking for answers, just leave it sealed up. Mystery solved. Too bad too, I was going to try flashing the decensored rom onto it...
