Sakura Taisen 1 & 2: peeping at Sakura in the bath (DC, SAT)

I laughed.
I hear this series is pretty legit, might have to watch it sometime...

You're talking about the TV series? It's okay. The games are great fun, and don't take themselves seriously. There were some OVA anime released around the game, and they basically are compatible with the games. The games are cute. The TV anime show, however, tries to take itself way too seriously. Fans had subbed it "Sakurangelion," because they injected the show with too much tension and made none of the characters get along with each other. It's good for what it is (I'd rather watch it than Evangelion, that's for sure), but it fails to deliver the charm of the games by Red Company/Sega.

Ah yes, the classic ST1 (and ST2) had shower scenes for all the characters I hear. Finding them all is half the challenge. The early games are more date-sim than tactical marvels though. Still very fun.

Yeah, the only other one I found was Kanna. I didn't bother looking inside.... I bet it's like looking at a man. Jeepers! Sumire or Kouran would've been okay.
As for being tactical marvels, I found the first game to be more challenging. The second game, although I love the assists and the cooler attacks and animations, is so easy. I haven't played any others. If I had a domestic PS2, I would've bought the one that was released in English. I wonder if that's hard to find by now?

Funny, I only found Kouran (who doesn't seem surprised) and Alice/Aeris/Iris (who zaps you).greg wrote:Yeah, the only other one I found was Kanna. I didn't bother looking inside.... I bet it's like looking at a man. Jeepers! Sumire or Kouran would've been okay.
I can't imagine the 2nd being easier than the first. I have the SS version, but never even began playing it. As for the domestic PS2/Wii versions, they are still quite plentiful. The PS2 Limited Edition (with Japanese-language disc) is still being sold @ GameStop. If you have an up-to-date computer (or PS3) you could probably emulate it.greg wrote:As for being tactical marvels, I found the first game to be more challenging. The second game...
