Looking for some info on a strange PS1 kiosk (pics inside)

Post by MaypoMan »

I came across this beauty last weekend from a guy who said he bought it from a K-Mart that was closing. After some looking around on the internet, I can't seem to find any pics or information on it. So, either i suck at googling, or info on this thing seems pretty scarce. I'm looking for any information people might have on this, be it rarity, price, if I'm missing pieces (besides the obvious system/monitor), or anything else. Thanks! :)

The screen and controllers are very low to the ground, the controllers come up to about my knees...

It looks as though something may have been attached to the top at some point?

I can't give you any info, but that's a pretty cool thing to have.

Thanks! :D

Also, if the Gran Turismo 3 poster on the bottom has anybody confused about this being a PS2 kiosk, I tried it out with an actual system, and there's not doubt that it's for a PS1

Oh how this makes me miss my early childhood, how much does a display like that run.
Why did Kevin Flynn blare Journey so loud in his arcade? Was he trying to hear it from the grid?

Nice Find!

Something has to raise it up. Either missing legs or designed as a store counter top display? I'm curious what model number PSX is installed and if any demo disc was included. Does it have the dedicated SVideo, and RCA Audio connections?

Maybe it was actually designed for little kids? Normal ones seem to be designed for people who are at least 5 foot.

Thats what I was thinking - there was a family pub near us that that had a similar ps1 kiosk. It had child sized chairs in front of it that made the controllers the perfect height

Reminds me of the displays they used to have at Toys R Us.
