Stupid Lead Free Solder

Thanks to OSHA, all current consoles have this brittle solder. Bah! My son's PS3 died, the original Fat with the PS2 Emotion Chip inside. THIS WILL BE THE FOURTH TIME FOR A PS3 FAIL! Luckily the previous fails were still in Sony Service Center warranty. This is the original launch feature loaded PS3 but the PS2 game compatibility is never utilized.

A PS2 with HDAdvance/HDLoader is better anyways.
I wonder if the PS3 Slim is the smarter choice with a better reliability factor of the smaller board?

I was thinking of picking up a BC PS3 but I already have a PS2 and a phat PS3 (Prefer the fat over the slim) that works great. The gun metal MGS4 one looks pretty bad ass though...

If they made a slim version of that, it would be the perfect PS3.

Im surprised so many like that colour. I always thought it was rather ugly.

It's just classy and understated, which is how I like my tech. Well, unless of course it's a computer, then I want lights and everything lol. The color is just different in a good way without being obnoxious.

I have the MGS4 gunmetal one and a white one. I had the dragon one for a brief moment. I was going to keep it for myself but some guy in France offered me too much that I couldn't resist. $700, and I only bought it for 17,800 yen a couple years ago.

I agree. The Slim is halfway there compared to the Phat though. At least to me. Plus it doesn't have the Spider-Man font.
