Erk...no. I'll gladly try to eat some chocolate covered ants, but I'd rather risk my life on the puffer fish than eat the things you listed

Haha, the silk worm larvae in Korea is the only one on this list that I have tried. :D

It's not that bad.

Also, it's not actually soup. It's just fried up and has some water with it to keep it softer. It is actually more like this picture when it is served up:

As for the rest: NO to scorpions, NO to spiders, NO to wasp crackers, MAYBE to grasshoppers*, MAYBE to grubs*, OK to larvae of various types.

*I would need some beer in me. Enough alcohol would change "NO" to "NEED TO BE STUPIDLY DRUNK" on the other ones. Stupidly drunk also enables me to eat things like Korean dog soup. Yummy!

I have seen most of these in person, but strangely have never seen or heard of those wasp crackers despite living in Japan for years.

That stuff is expensive. If you eat the fish at a restaurant in Japan, it's generally quite safe as the chefs need to have a specific license to serve the fish. If someone dies at their restaurant, their career is pretty screwed.

I've heard it's supposed to be really good tasting. I'd eat it if I was offered some.

I've also heard dog is supposed to taste better than beef. In fact, members of the Lewis and Clark expedition, after eating dog in Indian villages, said so too. Don't know if I'd try it though.

I was pretty drunk when I ordered it. :D I just had it the one time. I did visit a dog farm once, in Korea. It wasn't really a nice place, but, oh well, that's life. I have no problem with people eating it, as long as they aren't eating someone's house pet.

Bleah...

Also, I can't imagine eating something that scares me, that being spiders.

They don't even look cooked in that picture. Just dead the way only a spider looks dead. All curled up and gnarly looking.

I've seen video somewhere of people eating spiders though. Fry 'em up in a big wok, eat 'em straight.

It's really not much different from eating shellfish. Westerners are just culturally indoctrinated to think of it as gross. Unfortunately, I can personally attest that the cultural brainwashing is highly effective. Those wasp crackers give me the willies!

Nitpicking nerd mode: Spiders and scorpions are not insects! ;)
Yeah, I know nobody cares.

Wasps have given me too much pain over the years for me to feel even remotely comfortable putting one in my mouth.
