I've been playing Beyond Good and Evil HD and I have to make the comparison. BG&E was a niche title that didn't sell well. The HD port exposes it to a new audience, helps build support for a sequel while polishing the game up with HD, 60fps, new textures, uncompressed music, etc. It even opens up the online Darkroom so players can get that last disk that people may have forever missed in the original versions of the game when the site was shut down making it impossible to get the code to unlock the disk in the game. On top of that, this HD port is offered at the generous price of 10 dollars

This is an HD port that has a reason for existing and it's an HD port done right. Resident Evil 4, which made truckloads of money, which is known by everyone, which already HAD a sequel, which has been ported twice already(with the Wii version supposedly being definitive)doesn't need to exist. Plus, it's another way to try to drive up digital download game prices. Screw that! Capcom more than any other company is trying so very hard to exploit downloadable content to fatten their wallets and its very obvious to any who is paying attention. I honestly feel that Capcom is more evil than EA used to be considered to be. Okay, that's a joke....maybe

Lastly, if anyone really wants more Resident Evil 4 that badly, play Shadows of the Damned. It does what RE 5 didn't do, provide a fresh, inspired take on that formula

Yeah I saw your update in the now playing thread or somewhere, glad to hear it sounds pretty good. Vanquish seemed to be the same case, with Capcom's half assed stuff like Lost Planet 2, Dead Rising, Dark Void, Bionic Commando (and trust me I did enjoy the first Lost Planet and Bionic Commando), Vanquish just looked like this stuff x 20. Platinum Games continues to beat Capcom at their own game.

I also honestly thought Dead Space was basically the next best thing after RE4 and completely destroyed RE5. I guess I've got some nitpicks about Dead Space 2, but yeah, I'd still take it over RE5 and where the series seems to be heading.
