Re: New Atlus game "Catherine"
I actually made a point to get the alternate version when I ordered from Amazon.

Just bought the PS 3 version, standard release. I generally find special editions pointless and impractical. I can't wait to spend some time with this one. Might have to put 3D Dot Game Heroes on hold for the time being while I play this

Ok, I may swing by if I get a break in between the EVO actionnoiseredux wrote:that's the version I got (from GameStop). I didn't even know there was an alternate version.Bradtemple87 wrote:Does anyone know if gamestop got the original box art for ps3 with Catherine doing the suggestive pose with her tshirt? I was given a giftcard back for my birthday in May that I still need to get rid of for the evil empire. Best Buy only got the alternate versions with their faces, which I absolutely don't want.

Just picked up an original art actual sealed copy from gamestop. The manager there gave me one that came with the art book and soundtrack. He even offered a special edition copy he had extra if I wanted that instead. Good form Gamestop

People bash on Gamestop, but I often get treated well by the employees. Typically, they see what I'm buying and realize that I'm a serious gamer and tend to go the extra mile for me. It's amazing how happy a Gamestop employee gets when they see you buying something like Heavy RainBradtemple87 wrote:Just picked up an original art actual sealed copy from gamestop. I'm assuming I got an original art copy. it shows her taking her top off with her bra showing underneath. I went to Walmart and every copy they had was a zoomed in pic of Catherine or Katherine so I guess that's the silly, family friendly art. I'm actually surprised Walmart even carries this

Yes that is the original version, which I also purchased. The alternate art has face shots of either girl. The original covers have the suggestive poses.Gamerforlife wrote:I'm assuming I got an original art copy. it shows her taking her top off with her bra showing underneath. My deluxe edition came in this morning. Damn, this special edition is nuts!

please, walmart doesn't give a shit about suggestive looking video games or movies. They only care about making sure they aren't carrying CDs with dirty parental advisory labels.Gamerforlife wrote:I'm assuming I got an original art copy. it shows her taking her top off with her bra showing underneath. Because selling DVDs that depict excessive violence and torture or glorify gratuitous sex is a-okay, but selling CDs with music that depicts the same thing is evil and should be shunned.
