Do you play games for hours on end day after day?

Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

Because it is summer I am getting a good amount of gaming in, but I generally can't play a game for more than an hour or two at a time. I might play three times a day, but in short stretches.

The problem is video games and reading are two favorite things, so I spend a lot of time on my ass, especially when you throw in a little tv and internet time into the mix. I noticed that this has been a several month trend, so I have begun to mix more physical activity into my day.

Even at my best/worst gaming times back in HS, solo I could never play more than 4 hours (Final Fantasy level 99 grinding). With friends, like SF2 or SMK tourneys maybe 5~6 hours but we had to get up and move from near the TV to back to the couch so we were never sitting for more than a few minutes at a time.
Sucks (putting it mildly) that he died from that but you gotta be impressed a little too. 12 hours non-stop? That dude had endurance. Even typing this I've changed my leg position at least a dozen times.
RIP.

I remember having some marathon sessions with friends playing Halo 1 for like 6 hours over Lan

I was talking to my sister, who's a nurse, and she said that you literally have to not be moving the legs at all for hours and hours in order to trigger DVT. If he only had gotten up periodically, shifted positions, stretched his legs, this might not have happened.

I can't even sit an hour without having to get up and stretch. My legs get achey if I don't use them, so I at least go to the bathroom when I game. The longest I ever went was about 6, and I was really pushing it then. (SMBM at my friends house, it got intense.)
