modchip help

Post by kommiekazie »

I got my modchip today, hooked it up and it powers up and only plays music CD-Rs and originals both. I tried a+b and it didn't work... help? it's a 32-pin

edit: the blue a+b wire just fel off :( Can I just solder from point a to b if the problem was a loos wire?

Yes, you can just re-solder the wires in place.

Also, was it hard to get the chip to slide into its plug?
If so, try to file down the edges of the part the plugs into the system.

Yes, it's in place but I think the mod is just dead now, I probably killed the connectors with the soldering iron.

The little places where the wires are suppose to be/soldered. There is no more power to the system when I connect it to the strip. So I assume I killed the chip.
