how can I know PAL or NTSC dvd?

OK,
I know this sounds like a dumb question
but I got a dvd that I want to know if it is a PAL or NTSC
I looked back and front, there is nothing that says what region is
also no numbers on it as 2 for PAL and 1 for NTSC

I know the easiest way is to pop it in a DVD player to see if it works
but my dvd is universal
and my 360 is modded, maybe it knows no difference between the 2 and will play it
and the computer will play anything as far as i know

any 1 know a trick to know FOR SURE which region is it?
this is quite important for me

I know WinDVD will tell you if you do properties on the disc once it is loaded and you have the player up. Others might tell you too.

Maybe on the reflective holo on the inside ring of the disc?

i am using a mac

but am not sure if that number represents the region or something else
as there are more numbers and serials

Right, but whatever play you are using, there's probably a way to check properties on the disc or at least see what region the player is currently using.

a quick test would be to pop it in your PC and see what happens. if it is from a different region than your PCs it will tell you so and prevent you from viewing it. (unless you have a universal dvd drive)

even a mac should tell you, there should be a free mac app to tell you. and i don't think macs can have universal roms.
