Let's have a western animation thread

The Fun of the first seasons was this subversive idea that they were sneaking in dirty jokes into a kids cartoon, and ones that kids got to some degree. When you put limits on something you often get a better result, since it acts like a filter.
I'm of the opinion that this is why Cartoon Network shows tend to be funnier than the Adult Swim stuff that comes on at night.

I don't understand how this possibly escaped my attention. I was all over the E3 and Comic-Con reports. I'm a regular here and on a very active comic book message board. Plus I read up on stuff on Comic Book Resources nearly daily. Yet this escaped my attention.

THANK YOU FOR SHARING!!! Without this, I would have missed it and it's only 1 1/2 hours away.

BurningDoom, are you on GameFAQs at all?

I've been meaning to ask because there's a dedicated Comics and Graphic Novels board there full of cool people, so I was curious if you've ever checked it out.

I was a regular there for years, but I haven't visited in a few months, primarily because I haven't bought any comics for most of this year. :?

Nope, never been on GameFAQs. I've heard that it's a big flame-war board, an I'm not too keen on that.

Eh, depends where you are. Some of the low-key boards are great, but a lot of the popular ones are just plain unusable.

What brunoafh said is true.

I can say with confidence that the Comics and Graphic Novels board is one of the great ones.

Thanks for satisfying my curiosity though. :D

Depends on the board. Their western animation board has a lot of jerks on it. They far too often bicker about whether MLP and Avatar are good or trash, and there's a few people there who are complete anime fanboys, who only seem to post there to foist their opinion that anime is better than western animation. I've never read their comic book board, so I don't know if it's the same way. Anyway, this is a big part of why I'm glad we have a western animation thread of our own. Gamefaqs trollery gets really tiring after a while. Plus, I'm banned over there.

And BTW, don't visit their politics board unless you want to lose all hope for mankind. Practically no real discussion over there, just trolls and joke accounts.

I kill time on /co/ a lot, though that place gets really really annoying sometimes. ESPECIALLY when people start bitching about the single neverending MLP general thread. Oh and the trolls too. Still, it's one of the better 4chan boards, even though that REALLY doesn't say much.

As a rule, I avoid pretty much ALL message boards centered on politics. :)

Finished my marathon of Venture Bros. finally yesterday. Operation P.R.O.M. has to be one of my favorite episodes.

The Emperor's New Groove is the funniest Disney movie ever. Am I right, or am I right?
