Okay, I'm not a supporter of the undeletable save on RE (or in general really), but I can see how this could be reasonable on this particular game.
You know that Pac Man arcade that you played at local restaurant X when you were younger, and that high score you always wanted to beat? Well now that'll be some kid named Destrey that owned the game before you. I mean that's part of an arcade experience and it's nice to have something to compare your skill to. I agree it could be frustrating but it's not like it's a Mario game where once its beat you can't re-beat it. THAT would suck
Now let me say that in non-arcade style games an undeletable save is completely unacceptable and I do hope that this trend goes away as quickly as it set on. As J T said this is definitely hurting 3DS sales and not helping, and the 3DS needs all the help it can get right now unfortunately :/

With shit like this it needs no justification.yomomma1 wrote:Stopped reading there.J T wrote: I don't know about the legality of them. All I know is that I don't pirate games unless
Don't try justify your piracy.

Re: Now another 3DS game gets "UNDELETABLE SAVE" !
Look, things are never so simple that they can be boiled down to black and white. Piracy is no different. There are certain situations in which it is acceptable to pirate a game, for example, if it is an old game from a company that no longer exists, and no other company owns their franchise rights. Explain to me how that could possibly hurt developers, yomomma1?yomomma1 wrote:Stopped reading there.J T wrote: I don't know about the legality of them. All I know is that I don't pirate games unless

Also, good to see everyone else is starting to share my opinion of Bamco.
Re: Now another 3DS game gets "UNDELETABLE SAVE" !
I did not voice my opinion on piracy.
I voiced my opinion on pirates trying to justify their actions.
Did you read what I typed?
J T said restrictive DRM drives him to pirate games. (I'm assuming ones he wants to play) His post did not say he only pirates games that are no longer sold(Although He probably does to those games too). If you want a good, in this case a digital video game and it is available to buy from the rights holder, DRM is not a reason to pirate it. Buy it or don't play it.
"Oh but that DRM sucks! I can't stay connected to the internet while playing my connection drops!" Then don't buy it, play it, or pirate it.
Do You know what restrictive DRM is to me? Steam. I hate any form of DRM. Even CD Keys. But I either put up with it, or don't buy it, I do not pirate the game.

QFT, there are tons of threads on piracy already, not to mention it is getting to the point of thread jacking.KDub wrote:DO NOT make this another piracy argument....geeze
Valid point, good thing I read this article before I picked up a used copy of RE from GS yesterday :Scoastercrazy10 wrote: You know that Pac Man arcade that you played at local restaurant X when you were younger, and that high score you always wanted to beat? If you aren't having a good time, why are you playing?

Sorry, I stopped listening when you were just rambling off your opinion without any real justification.yomomma1 wrote:I did not voice my opinion...

I prefer the term Scamco. They are the masters at trying to suck an extra buck out of their fans. They are "masters of unlocking" in that you have to pay extra money to unlock much of what is already on their game discs. Ah I miss the days of the Gameshark.... I would unlock that "premium" junk without a second thought if we still had Gamesharks and Action Replays (this exact reason is probably why we don't). However I wonder if these locked saves are really the result in another DRM attempt or if they are really just lazy programming....
