Yeah no. Sword rocks. Maybe not on the level of Sabbath or Slayer (no one touches m'fn slayer) but The Sword are way above the crap in this pilot.

edit: I will say that since they are from Austin, I'm a bit biased but... yeah.

Cops at a Donut shop is also not funny unless there is some premise to the joke. It's dumb reference humor like EPIC MOVIE jokes; "Remember this? Then laugh". There is no actual joke.

Hey, I didn't say you had to find it funny, or even that many people would, since humor after all is about tastes, but rather that you didn't get the punchline.

What is this, 1989? Are the outdated negative connotations concerning pot still around? I thought study after study and (limited) legalization after (limited) legalization put an end to pot's stigma.

I'm all for people doing what they want as long as they're not affecting me, but most people I know or have known that smoke pot really are duller people when high. The ones that smoke a lot are dull all the time. That being said, pot smokers are a lot less likely to cause injury to others than heavy drinkers, and of course that is legal. I do wish it was decriminalized so police could be busy with more important matters and so we could grow it in large quantities to make paper out of it.

I'm not a user myself, but I am San Francisco, and there is no shortage of the stuff or people partaking. I used to think similarly to your sentiment until I started meeting people who did it regularly and still had lives. Unless you're really baked, pot doesn't have that big of an effect. Heck, I knew at least one person who functioned better on it: he was in my department, he smoked at least once a morning, once in the afternoon, and I wouldn't be surprised if he smoked quite a bit at night, and yet he was lauded by the professors as being brilliant, was always on top of his work, always had insightful things to say (even if I didn't always agree with him), and never showed up late. There are so many people here who are casual smokers that I realized the dull ones are going to be dull anyway, pot notwithstanding.
