Really? In what region? They're not that expensive in the states, even on eBay.

This thread reminds me that I need to get a few SNES games (secret of mana, castlevania IV, SMRPG, Final Fantasy III, Chrono Trigger, etc.) because the premium is going up. I've also considered recollecting everything I have CIB even though it's insanely expensive. Anyway that's kind of off topic.

I will agree that EB is overpriced but I wouldn't exactly call it common. I think it's due to the hoarding of the game that comes along with it's notoriety. Same with Chrono Trigger. I wouldn't classify SMRPG or FFIII as particularly common games so I think their inflated price has more to do with uncommonness than some are giving them credit for.

I also agree with the Fatal Frame series. I didn't know they were reprinted when I bought them ($15 a pop which is a good price by eBay standards) so I think that may contribute to the higher price tag. Most people are still convinced they're ridiculous rare, when in reality there are several copies of the fist three games in GameStops in my local area.

My vote goes to this FFXI expansion pack, Wings of the Goddess:

Maybe it's just eBay sellers being exorbitant, but there's no way this game is worth $30+ used. Aren't all the servers pulled and everything? Or is there some offline content worth the price of admission?

As far as I know, the reason behind the SNES version's popularity and value is that it is free of bugs, slow-downs, and loading issues that the later, ported versions apparently have.

I've recently heard similar things about the SNES version of Secret of Mana because of the version on iPod/iPad's inability to play multiplayer.

Only the PS1 version had those issues. The DS version was just fine. Most people who prefer the SNES version do so because they like the SNES controller better, plus the larger TV screen.

Well I can't speak for Secret of Mana, but the DS version of Chrono Trigger is excellent, and the definitive version as far as I'm concerned.

yep i actually started to play chrono trigger on the ds and liked it so much i finally bought it on the snes so i can see it all in its glory on the big screen. I know i can get it on the wii, but i figure why not play it on the original console it was released on.

The ds version was nice, because it had movies and the inventories with just a peek to the bottom screen, as for the snes you have to press y for the pull up menu.

^Majora's Mask only is if you buy it will the Hologram on the cart. You see the normal looking cart is actually rarer, and sells for less. Win-Win.
Systems: Game Boy, Game Boy Color, Game Boy Advance, N64, Gamecube, Xbox 360

WTB: Boxes for a silver Gamecube System(and a hyperport cover), and a box for an Ice Blue N64 console. Will pay 7.50 for each and shipping.

Wait, you mean the sticker isn't a hologram but the cart is still gold? I was under the impression that all LoZ:MM carts were gold with a hologram sticker, at least in the US.
